Airdrie Cycle Club is an amateur club who come together regularly and take part in both competitive and non-competitive cycle rides. Although based in Airdrie, cyclists from outside of the area are also welcome.

Established in late 2013, the club has a growing membership. Membership is £20 and is open to cyclists of all ages, although some experience is necessary to take part in group rides.

Group rides occur as often as possible – weather permitting – with the club endeavouring to meet up at least weekly to take part in cycles.  Group cycle rides take place generally on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.  Sunday rides are approximately 40 miles long on average; rides on Wednesdays generally involve routes that cover 25 miles.  Members also meet on separate occasions to take part in less/more difficult rides tailored to confidence, ability and experience.

New members with less confidence in their abilities are encouraged by the friendly assistance offered by more seasoned members of the club who are always willing to help.  When possible, the club offers shorter introductory rides for novice cyclists.
